If you have a cardiologist that still uses Coumadin get a new one.
I would just go find a morman enclave

Assuming I still have the guns, tools and fishing gear I own, a long time

You should watch the show. You want to maintain your weight because you don’t want to lose weight and open yourself up to health complications or eventual starvation to death.
There were contestants that tapped out or were pulled because of too much weight loss even though they were still eating a grouse and berries every couple days. Calories spent were more than calories taken in and major organs start to fail. Oh, and the weight loss happens quickly.

Probably for a bit. There’s 40 deer in my backyard daily, but they move around to a few neighbors yards too. Figure I’d need to set up traps and kill with arrow to harvest to preserve bullets. Freeze deer organs, if I could, to go catfishing in lake behind my house. I’d rather not think about this. I’d have to leave where I’m at, it’s a dam controlled lake. So the wildlife would be gone, water would be gone. I would hope I had a heads up and probably move to Africa to be honest. And then get murdered for being white. Full circle.

Now there could be other options

I could figure out how to live till either an injury, disease or health issue took me out.

Random thought. Any serious prepper for times like this who still has an appendix is not fully committed.

With people as no threat? A very long time. I have pigs, chickens, a stocked pond, two gardens, and a load of stuff jarred.

Most people would not make it near as long as they think, watch the TV show alone, and you’ll be so surprised how difficult it is

Oh no doubt but I don’t plan to go naked and I’m bringing a hell of allot more than ten items with me.

The key to survival would be domesticated pigs and chickens. And not having too many that someone else comes and kills you right away. I’m not sure how many a family of 4 would ideally need, but probably a lot of chickens so you can eat one and have enough to trade occasionally. Pigs I’m clueless.
Fishin would be fine and I love to fish, but good luck surviving off of fish and frankly it’s a hell of a lot of effort unless you got a pond and catfish traps.

And life would suck once you run out of oil and cornmeal.

Goats would be the ticket. Other livestock can’t just live off the land in poor quality areas. Tractor only hood as long as the diesel supply. Pigs will need a shite ton of feed. Chickens could free range but very susceptible to predators.
ETA: it’s quite easy and inexpensive to stockpile enough rice and beans for a year. Off the shelf canned goods last 3-4 years easily. Everyone should have a 6 month food supply imo. Supplement that with some wild game and you can stretch long enough to adapt.

Karen Carpenter starved to death. That doesn’t mean getting your food from groceries and restaurants isn’t sustainable.
Obviously you can’t be calorie deficient and sustain it. But you don’t have to be calorie deficient when you live by foraging, hunting and fishing. Millions of people did it for thousands of years.

I’m with you.
For those saying “a long time, I have deer/cattle/pig”. What are you going to do after you butcher it? How are you going to keep it from spoiling? There’s no electricity. No freezers. Salt cure? Meat will go fast if you’re killing one for every meal. What about when you’re on day three and haven’t been able to harvest a kill and your family is noticeably hungry? For those with a well, how are you going to run your pump? No gas/electric for cooking. Build a fire outside? What about when it’s rained for 2 days straight. How many have an actual wood burning fireplace for the winter?
