How long could you survive in a super Wal Mart?

This became a discussion around 1 this morning with my buddies after a day of drinking
Let's say it was just you and you had to live in a super/mega wal mart and survive. How long do you think you could with the resources in the store?
Rules are simple
You have power, so the frozen food and microwaves and appliances would work.
Obviously no replishments once you've eaten something
My guess was 20 years. Obviously you would eat the perishable stuff for the first few weeks and months. You always have the processed canned stuff that lasts forever and would save for last. Frozen stuff would last a long time but still has a shelf life

Well it depends, are the employees and customers in there too? That would drastically increase the chance for suicide within 24 hours.

a couple of years ago they caught a guy in a Walmart who had been living on a shelf for months.
I'll look for the story.

Being homeless has to be very difficult, especially in the colder times of the year. But not for this Tennessee couple who had been “living in the lap of luxury” above a Tennessee Walmart store. The ‘homeless’ man, 48-year-old Wilbert Thomas, admitted to police that he and his girlfriend 54-year-old Ingrid Malone, had been living above the store for over two years. What they did to the attic, baffled police and store employees.

It's just you and you are the only one there in the store. Yes I was drunk and I brought it up. It was my fault. Random I know. Lol

Is it one of those Wal Marts that sell guns? Am I alone? Do they have cable or internet? Do they have white women? All relevant facts.

With all the food and water to drink, someone could last a lifetime. 15yr old could live to 70 or above in that place.

I think you guys are seriously under estimating how much we consume

This idea of living in a department store goes back at least to the 1930s and the novel Castaway by James Gould Cozzens.
The most famous example is the short story "Evening Primrose" by John Collier, about a man who rejects society and decides to live in a store by himself. You can listen to a 1947 radio version of the story here.

are you confined to inside the building or can you go outside on the property?
honestly, i'm thinking close to no limit if you have utilities. there has to be some sort of book on canning food in there so you can can/preserve things that would eventually spoil.
if you can go outside, i'm sure you can garden (or maybe even make it work in the garden center growing food in flower pots.
i'm going to go with indefinitely.

Yep. Walmart has seeds and potting soil. Build a little greenhouse outside the main store where they change oil.

Move all of the meat and produce into the freezers, dine on USDA grade Q beef and pissed-on-by-jose veggies for a while.

The wal mart would be over run by certain groups of people that realize we gots free shite. Probably wouldn't last a week once the freeloaders found it
Posted on 7/3/16 at 9:58 am to dallastiger55
I wouldn't make it in, so zero days

I would use my shite as soil fertilizer and replant seeds from the fruit. Unlimited food source. Extract moisture from the air for drinking. Seems endless. Die of old age.
