How long could you go without talking to your spouse?
Let's assume you're happily (or at least close to it) married now.
How long could you go without having to speak with your spouse? Only a few hours? A day? A week? A month? Longer??
It's pretty universal that women like and need to talk more than men.
I don't think my wife could go more than a few hours without having to talk with me about something, anything.
I'd say I could go about a week at the most.
What about you?

Who's on a trip and who's stuck at home with the kids in this hypothetical?

I could go forever. She on the other hand...can't seem to go an hour without yelling at me for something

If one of us were going to be in an area with no means of contact? I could do it for however long I needed to.

have quite a few friends that were former Vietnam POWs as I'm involved with a group that helps arrange reunions and get togethers for them, imagine what that was like? lots of their women gave up on them and lots of them were rock solid, google "Burst of Joy"
ETA: back in the days before cells and other cheap means of contact, when I would go on a trip out of the country I would tell my wife that I was just "gone" for however length of time, she would just have to deal with whatever happens

If you don't talk to a woman - she gets mad - how angry, well that depends on the woman. Most times I just have nothing to say, but it seems to really piss her off.

I'm not a talker. I can go for long periods of time w/o talking to the people I'm closest to and be ok.
She, on the other hand, is kind of opposite....
I usually don't mind talking to her, if only she could give me a minute or 2 to wake up in the morning first, or walk in the door after work and just set my shite down, kick off shoes and take a pee. But the chatter starts immediately.
My go to phrase is "I'm listening" as I go about my business on other parts of the house.
The downside there is that you sometimes "agree" to things without realizing it or you occasionally give yourself away when she brings something up and you're like, "What!?!," and she says she told you about it yesterday. Then you have to pretend you were listening then and just forgot. "Oh yeah, but on further thought, I changed my mind."

Been a few times where I was struggling to pay mortgage and groceries for the kids and I look up and she has ordered $800 of shite from FB. Went a few weeks each time.

Yep, this will give you your real answer. Out having fun, a few days, the one not having fun will want to talk more often.
