Same. I'm a big orderly fashion guy.

Of course, most of these annoyances can be avoided by paying more.
Which is the only real reason to get in line fast. First class PDBs are the best.

People crap on Southwest as the Walmart of the Sky, but damn if they don't do boarding better than the big guys. It's not perfect, but there's a reason they consistently have one of the best records of their planes leaving on time.
But they also have the most abusers of the carry-on rules.

I ride my mobility scooter to the front of the line.

Like when the plane lands and the seat belt sign comes off, people feel the need to stand 5 minutes before the plane door actually opens.
I think there is a difference in people in the aisle seat simply standing up to stretch and the people who don't have a connection to make trying to sprint down the aisle to the front.

have it placed 20 rows behind you (which makes leaving a much bigger PITA than waiting early prior to boarding)

1/8 the amount of time I’m going to be seated for the flight. How long is your flight?

Well you are on a domestic flight, because the first flight from the U.S. to Spain departs at 4pm from Miami. Some people really don't want to check their bag at the gate, so 30 minutes is reasonable, especially if flying someone like AA through MIA which is notorious for its inability to connect bags.

I am EXP with AA. I am part of #TeamBoardLast Occasionally I will go with Group 1, but more often then not I let everyone board before me. No sense in waiting on the plane for an extra 20 minutes.

Depends on carry on situation. Non full flight? I’m in no rush

It's even dumber. IMO, on Southwest airlines. You don't have an assigned seat just an assigned number in boarding line. I let those sheep line up, wait for pre-boarders(that's another story) and when they make the A1-15, to 30, come aboard I proceed to my place in line. Ain't that hard.

I only board first when I fly first class. Otherwise I try to be the very last one on the plane. I don’t worry about overhead bins because I just carry on a backpack that I stick underneath the seat in front of me.

Those people are the worst. I got stuck in DFW one night because my flight was running behind and I had 15 minutes to catch my connection. The attendants made an announcement to stay seating and only stand up and get off if you have a tight connection window.
Of course, everyone stands up and I miss my flight.

When I traveled for work I would usually be one of the first to board due to my work bag and carry-on. Now I only travel for vacation and I never carry-on so me and the family are one of the last on the plane. With that said, I despise the the people I use to see putting their carry-on in the first class or economy plus bins and then walking their arse to the back of the plane. Put your shite in the bin above your row!

It's assigned seating, on a non-full flight, but regardless if it were full or not, I'm puzzled by people's need to fight to board first.
Some people are really weird about their bags is the only thing I can think of.

I've never found Southwest to be super trashy. That said they're relatively expensive out of Atlanta. Between that and RR I just don't have any reason to use them, but woudn't mind if I did.

which is weird because they have free checked baggage

I’ve never understood people that fly Southwest and stand by their number early.

Not as bad as when you land, door is not open, they leap up and then stand in the isle like somehow they are going to get off the plane more quickly.
