How long after St George is created will the push begin to dissolve the City/Parish govt?

I mean this the logical next step. the "Mayor" of BR has too much power now over the whole parrish. EBR doesn't have to go down with the sinking ship of the City of BR.

The City of Baton Rouge will fight this even harder than they did St. George. Baton Rouge will wither and die on the vine without the current city-parish setup.

When St G passes... how much of EBR will still be unincorporated?

I know the NAAAAAAAAACP wants to split up EBR and City of BR. I think they figure if they can't take the money from other unincorporated places, what's the point? Might as well run everything themselves and not have to have city decisions ratified by non-city metro council members.

And I completely support that.

You live in Vermont, right? Shouldn't you be out trying to get Bernie Sanders elected President rather than worrying about Baton Rouge??

Never thought I'd say this, but once STG goes through we should team up with the NAACP to make this happen.

Nah. I live four miles from Tiger Stadium.

You're 0 for 2 in this thread, Mr. Vermont.

St George slew the dragon in minutes.

I think there’s a parallel should the initiative pass.

Not much of it.

I don’t have exact percentages but the remaining area would pretty much be Gardere and some areas in the northeast part of the parish such as Pride.
