Are there still issues?

It seems pretty quiet.

Picked my in-laws up yesterday. It's a Charlie Foxtrot. The passenger pick up line wraps all the way around to the other parking garage and you have to load and unload in rain. Whoever called it a Mercedes with flat tires was spot on. It's pretty but it is not made for performance.

You're the only person I've seen say this in the past two weeks.

It has been and will continue to be fine.

Yes, there will be increased traffic and issues this week, as there will be in literally every major airport in America.

The passenger pick up needs tweaking. It was NOT busy and the line was terrible.

People need to start picking up folks at the Arrival level. Yesterday, there was literally 5 cars dropping off at 2:30 pm.

I’ve flown in/out the new airport twice and I have not had any issues with traffic or Security.

The underground pickup at old MSY was terrible too.

Picked up and dropped off brother during peak times and it was fine. A little traffic leaving the airport, but otherwise, smooth.

How is it? It’s the same as the other 19 threads started about it over the past week

Isn’t this week the toughest test yet?
That’s why I asked.
I have not seen any issues and if we don’t see many now it’s a good sign.

I’m also wondering if things are working well then why build the new Loyola interchange?

(I think you meant departure level not arrival).

I often did this even at the old terminal. I rarely check a bag and always seemed easier for cars to make it through the departure area. Haven't been through the new terminal yet though.

We flew out Sunday morning. No issues whatsoever. TSA pre was longer than the general line, but otherwise a great experience. We parked at the new USPark on Vets & were at terminal on about 3 minutes.

Flew out Monday and back yesterday. Parked short term. No issues whatsoever, was parked, checked a bag and through security in less than 10 minutes.

Yall remember when dumbfricks in those older threads declared that the new msy would be too much of a cluster and vowed to only fly out of btr and Gulfport from that point forward?

Traffic is great! They moved all the traffic from Airline which is travel frequently, to Veterans between Williams and Loyola which I hardly ever travel. The new MSY has been a blessing.

Picked son up last night, His was the last flight of the night arriving at 1230 am. 30 minutes of traffic from rides hare lot to entry to short term parking, No need to rush as Jetway did not work and they waited almost an hour before they pulled stairs up and unloaded them from the rear of the plane.

1. They should have made a separate entrance/exit for pick-ups. Not doing so was just fricking moronic. I spent 30 minutes last Saturday evening (~5-6pm) waiting on the wife to drive from employee parking (at old MSY) to pick up me and our bags. The traffic line to get into the area (because it's both picking up and dropping off) was ridiculous.

2. Everyone seems to want to cluster at the first two doors of the pick-up area so all the cars are piling up there.

3. There was only one cop working the "don't park and wait" detail on Saturday evening and he seemed to be a little more interested in wandering around and having random conversations.

3A. You can't let people camp in their cars but shooing them to make the loop just adds to the problem. I honestly don't know which was worse.

parked in short term parking. Walked straight into the terminal. Parked on the first floor. Daughter met me at baggage claim. Walked out and paid 6 bucks for the parking.
The easiest airport I have ever dealt with.
