Stemming from the Trump "shithole" possible comment and then from hearing songs on the radio saying "arse", "bitch", "pussy" etc....Seeing and hearing this on the radio and TV these days not blurred out, not covered up...What the hell???

literally turned the TV on to some of the news stations last night and that's the big headline across the screen. "SHITHOLE"...I just don't see how that's ok nowadays and I realize we live in a different country than it was 10-20 years ago, but come on man....

The idea of a word being "vulgar" is stupid anyway. It's just a fricking word.

It’s racist to call a certain group out for using profanity in their music

All depends on what you are considering profane..... I think its absurd that you can say GD on tv but they will blur out the word "fig".... I get the reason but how can you justify one over the other

I was watching The Hangover and noticed they blocked out the word "retard."

I don't want to live a world where I can't call friends and acquaintances retards for saying retarded shite.

I know cable can basically do whatever it’s just up to if they want to possibly piss off their advertisers. If you heard pussy in a song on the radio then the station messed up. Talk radio hosts can change the context and be able to say things like that though.

I may be middle aged but I still believe what my father taught me. "the use of profanity when speaking is inversely proportional to intelligence."

I lived 27 years with him and never heard him utter Frick or shite once. And the few times I let it slip, watch out.

I recently became aware of how bad it is. Check out "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" on fx sometime. Hilarious, but the language is locker room.
USA network has some shows approaching that level now too.
