It’s not just DFW. Louisiana is just that damn dirty. It makes most places look clean. To be fair though most of the southeast is dirty. Maybe not Louisiana dirty but generally dirty.

Im going to run for governor of La and one of the first things I do is set up a campaign for a clean state.

It has to be done. The people need to be aware and behaviors need to change. People have no respect for the road ways, the water ways, etc.

People throw shite out of the car window without even thinking twice. Filthy fricking people. How hard is it to wait until you get home to throw it away? Evidently pretty hard, because people throw fast food bags out the window.. People have no problem leaving their shite on the ground somewhere. Nasty fricking people throw used diapers in parking lots.

I will start having programs in schools to teach them when they are young to start throwing their shite in trash cans, don't throw shite just anywhere.

As far as Dallas proper there is a lot of old oil money that pays to cover graffiti and pick up litter through private companies. At least in the nicer parts of town.

Dallas is all about the shine and glimmer if nothing else.

All suburbs are cookie cutter. Show me a suburb that doesn’t have national builders developing neighborhoods.

Downtown Dallas has a massive park in Clyde Warren park. Memorial park isn’t in downtown Houston.

It’s amazing how clean it is. Hard to explain it to my Louisiana folks.

Also don’t get the hate on the neighborhoods out here. Some of the master planned communities are some of the best spots to raise a family.

With Austin we have some new challenges, but I’d hardly put us in some dirty or nasty city classification.
That means you haven’t been here

Maybe not nasty but you can’t lie there are some straight up filthy parts.

It has gotten much better since early 2021 - it was nasty downtown then.

If you, yourself, we’re raised in a neighborhood, it would make sense to make a statement like that. For those of us who were raised in the country with big yards, country roads, and ATV’s with endless fuel, it sounds ridiculous.

I’m sure there are good things about neighborhood living, but I can’t think of any myself.

Me neither, I think that has always been a way for people who live in shitty areas to make themselves feel better by attacking nice new and clean.

Downtown Dallas is not that great. I had a buddy that worked there years ago and would send me crazy videos. One time he said he had to step over a bum, at a train stop, and when he looked down to make sure he didn't step on the dude, the bum was whacking off.

The highways are spotless and surface streets mostly free of litter. Houston is noticeably dirtier and Louisiana is a landfill in comparison.
you know how gays show up and gentrify/clean up neighborhoods? Well DFW is like that but on a larger scale with all he queer Cowgirl fans

This is the case with every big city, including Dallas.

As a whole Dallas is definitely cleaner though.

I’m just saying putting Austin in a Houston or San Antonio category isn’t the same.

It is quite embarassing how much trash is on the shoulders of LA highways. Our interstates look like dumpsters.
