Yesterday it was too cold. Today it's too hot. Tomorrow it will rain too much. Saturday it will not have rained enough.

So, basically, you are screwed.

Not sure about size because I haven't bought any yet, but some places seem to have dropped to $3.99/lb. Others are still higher.

Sammy’s last night.

$6.50 a pound, boiled. Two potatoes, one corn.

On the smaller side, but a lot of mediums.

Well seasoned and easy peel.

Remember to wash before you whizz.

Doesn't it seem like something screws up the crops, every year? It's just not possible to have things go perfect, ever!

The crawfish in Nashville are outrageous. I use this company called Louisiana Seafood Company that ship them up every couple of days and they send me their weekly prices via email.

This was the last email:

quote:

BOILED CRAWFISH: $7.49 per pound
BOILED CRAWFISH 10lbs or more: $6.99 per pound

LIVE BY THE SACK: $4.50 per pound
LIVE BY THE POUND (Washed & Culled): $4.99 per pound
3 SACKS OR MORE: $4.25 per pound
SELECTS BY THE SACK: Unavailable
JUMBOS BY THE SACK: Unavailable

Means they are tiny.

And a little lagniappe:

quote:

WHOLE SKINNED & CLEANED ALLIGATORS: $11.99 Per Pound

Wtf are you talking about? It’s not even Feb 15 and the farm price is already $2
2 years ago it was $1.25 in the middle of lent and 75 cents after
Last year it was $1.50 during lent and got down to $1

If it makes you feel better, a local bar around me advertised 9.99 per pound crawfish recently, and the choice to add on corn/potato’s for another 3.99
