How hard is it to drive on the left side of the road?

Thinking of renting a car in Scotland. My family wants no part of riding with me in this situation.

I rented a car in Ireland. It's not that bad... you get used to it pretty quick.
The hardest part for me was roundabouts. Wrong side of the car, wrong side of the road... you really have to think about it when you see that roundabout approaching.

As long as your thinking the whole time I think it would be fine. The second you go into auto pilot mode you might be fricked though

My mom did it when I lived in Europe as a kid and she's a woman, so hopefully you can do it.

Drove for 2 weeks in Australia (or maybe it was not really Australia but some African island with actors). The first week was a bit sketchy because We were in a major city. When I got home it felt awkward driving on the right side. As someone else said, you just need to be very aware of your situation.

You call it the left side of the road, we call it the correct side of the road.

Tricky part is pulling into a store or restaurant. Everything is counter intuitive.

I haven’t a clue. I’ve never employed a foreign driver so im afraid I’ve no one to ask.

We rented a car in Scotland. It was fine. The biggest adjustment is driving through roundabouts and being sure to look in the correct direction
BTW. Scotland is amazing
VERY IMPORTANT:
1. Get a GPS from your rental agency
2. Their highway system tracks your average speed and will ticket you if you pass two waypoints faster than the posted speedlimit. The rental agency will charge your cc
3, Buy a burner smart phone when you arrive, The american carriers "foreign travel" data plan suck balls

Really all I needed to know to assure it can't be that hard.

Not hard at all. I drove a manual when I was in Scotland so it was a little tricky using your left hand to shift. You get used to it right away, just pay attention in parking lots, that’s where you usually forget

I did it while I lived in Bangkok. It really wasn’t hard there. There were so many cars that you had no choice but to follow traffic.

This. I rented a car while on business in England one time and had to travel through Swinden. Out there they have this one thing they call the magic roundabout. I got up to it and to this day I am shocked that I made it out without hitting someone. It was the most hair raising experience I have ever been in.

If you're flying into Edinburgh, they have a tram that runs from the airport to the city center. It's a bit slow but cheap and easy
Be prepared for a windy landing. We were in the back of the plane and felt like a couple of pennys shaking in a can

It's not bad. You figure it out in a couple of hours. Just remember to KEEP LEFT!!!<<<<<<

Had a car in Jamaica. It’s not bad unless you have some crazy intersections and lots of turns. That’s what always gets me. Go the speed limit and stay focused. Really hard to drink and drive doing it.
