I did this a few times in Grand Cayman.
The only thing I found difficult was pulling into parking lots. You so want to pull into the right side of the entry because of habit. This is where most accidents happen and why you want the insurance.

It's really not that difficult once you are actually behind the wheel and driving. Riding as a passenger is the weirdest part for whatever reason.

I rented a Jeep in the Bahamas and it wasn't that hard, though it was a left hand drive Jeep. In the UK/Ireland you have left hand roads and right hand drive.

Not bad. First 5-10 minutes takes a little adjusting and thinking, but after that I never thought about the change

Bought a car in Japan when I was stationed there. Driving in the snow was harder. Once I got states side damn near killed myself.
