we aren't talking about the general population, we are talking about the OT. I know for a fact that less than 10% of the "general population" can throw a ball 50 yds. It's freakin difficult.
There are so many people here saying they can throw 40-50-60-70 yards, and my point was simply to refute that. and to show the increasing level of difficulty from 40 to 50 and from 50 to 60 and 60 to 70.

I went to law school with a guy who could throw a football 50+ yards on his knees, no lie.
But he came from an impressive football lineage.

About 50 yards. 65 and you should be in Syracuse this weekend.

may be a bit high, but I know I can throw consistently 52-56 yards, but certainly never further and that's with everything Ive got.
So you don't believe anyone else, but we are suppose to believe you?

Im not asking anyone to believe me, couldn't care less one way or the other. Just stating what I know from nearly throwing my arm out on a couple of occasions.

I'd say 3-5% of OT males can throw a college ball 50 yards. Probably 10-15% can throw it 40 yards.
2 or 3 total could throw it 60.

In his prime Brett Favra threw the ball between 75 and 80 yards. It is well known that he had one of the strongest arms in the NFL.
Either the OT is full of shite or the OT does not know how far 60 yards is. Or many a combination of both.
With that said I played high school football. I can throw a football 75 yards from one knee, falling backwards, while fricking Ms America.

I ran a 4.5 40 in the 9th grade but then I hurt my knee.

20% further is a pretty big difference
many people could throw 80mph fastballs...not many could throw 96 mph

w/o even reading the responses I would wager real money (and give odds) than no more than 1/2 of the respondents can throw it over 40 yds.

Going to be a whole lotta truth in this thread.
