And I seriously doubt 40 percent of this board can throw it 50.

I would guess less than 15%...if we are talking a collegiate ball

Wildly off?

Well we can agree to disagree.

The 50 and 60 yard % may be a bit high, but I know I can throw consistently 52-56 yards, but certainly never further and that's with everything Ive got.

So maybe 30% at 50 and 5% at 60? I didn't conduct an actual study, rather just took an educated guess.

79% chance I seriously injure my shoulder if I throw it as far as I can today.

100% for me

Co worker challenged me to see who could throw the longest...killed me

A few months later another co worker wanted us to see how fast we could pitch on a radar gun...killed me and I don't think I hit 70mph

I am ok as long as I don't throw as hard as possible

I admit I have a tough time gripping a real NFL ball.

Maybe I can grip it better now.

I can throw it maybe 35 yards. Very few here can throw it 40-45 yards. I bet maybe 10 regular posters can throw it more than 50.

I guess I was giving the OT benefit of the doubt.

My logic: for a group of guys who can bench 300+ and squat a small SVU, I assumed throwing a football 50 yards would be a relatively small feat.

You are wildly off in your conceptualization of demographics and numbers in general. Think about it like this. College athletes are well within the top 1% of athletes when compared with the general population. Do you think all of them can throw a football 60 yards? But you think almost half of the general population can throw a football 50.
