At my best, I could probably throw it 40 yards.

Now? Maybe 30.

When I was 18 the best I threw was maybe 50-55 yards just throwing it as hard as I could. Consistently could hit 45 yards and pretty accurate too. Now at 47 yrs old I would hurt myself if I tried to throw 30 yards.

That puts you better than almost half of the NFL QBs in the game.

Because of this thread I went to Dick's and bought a ball and went to some soccer fields to see how far I could really sling it. I threw it 71 feet the first time and 73 the second time, then I started feeling woozy so I stopped. I even used a tape measure so I'm not full of shite. If you don't believe me I will get my roommate to record me doing it tomorrow

In all candor, probably 35-45 yards. Haven't tried in a while. No accuracy beyond 15 yards whatsoever.

There is 0% of the OT that can throw the ball 70+ yards.

Maybe 1 former high school/college QB who can hit 60 with a good warmup.

The rest would fail miserably and throw between 20-40.

It is 56 yards across the pond behind the house. I can throw a baseball, orange, lemon, football all about 10 feet shy of the other side.

I have the strength but zero technique. Also by the third throw my shoulder may sling itself out of socket.

Edit: I can only throw a baseball in the 50mph range with zero accuracy, but if I can warm up without throwing my shoulder out I can get into the low to mid 80s. Usually a pop and slough of expletives occur before that point. But by god when it doesn't it makes you feel like a walking god.

I see the OT measures their dicks with the same yard stick they use to measure their football fields.
