True.

That’s why I incorporate emojis in a manly fashion when I text. Give it some emphasis

I know .. just sometimes still not effective in combating incorrect interpretations

Sometimes I will say GFY with a smiley and it’s not received well. Who knew.

I accidentally texted the wrong boss complaining about something.

It was a beef I had with him, and I accidentally sent it to him.

Emojis wouldn’t have improved the situation

That is the collateral damage of social media and digital communications.

Outside of TD, I now try hard to not poke but sometimes I can’t help myself.

I think when it was first created, it was a great new way to find girls and get laid.

Now its truly a bane on society.

I often wonder how many suicides there would be if one day it was all suddenly gone. Some people, their whole life is about likes, comments and pictures

Like nicotine. Everybody hates it, few can quit it once hooked, and it comes at a tremendous social cost.

A social experiment conjured up by the Prince of Darkness himself.

It’s designed to release endorphins.

We naturally get a high when we receive validation. So naturally when you give people a medium to constantly get that dopamine fix of course they’re gonna chase it.

Closed my Facebook and Twitter accounts about a year ago. Never had Instagram, Snapchat, etc. I frequent this site and one other and that's it. Arguing with strangers is overrated and I'm not trying to put my personal business on the interwebz.

It is the personification of the antichrist.

I'm so glad I cancelled my Myspace page back in 08 (and my Facebook page that I was still developing at the time) (couldn't settle on my background song).

It is a strange little alternate universe that the obsessive ones live in, and occasionally, unfortunately, it bleeds over into actual reality when they have to face the people who are asking how their rectal exam went.

It has reinforced my initial thoughts on friends and family. Most people are fake to the degree that they lie to themselves. When I see couples be all sweet to each other I understand that they have been fighting or one or both are being unfaithful.

I see moms post achievements of their kids. I see that they're telling everybody look how good of a parent I am while in the real world the kid is achieving in spite of them.

Yes. And in its present incarnation, we would all be better off mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, morally, without any of the biggies - FB, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram. IMO.

I don’t participate enough to care much about what people are sharing, etc. I’m way more concerned about the inevitable Ashley Madison-style leak, where everybody can see whose accounts you’ve been looking up on Facebook, etc. That would be pretty mortifying.
