And will you be tuning in?

quote:

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth vowed in an interview this week that the execution of the man who killed 13 people in a mass shooting at Fort Hood in 2009 would be “public.”

“We’ll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it’s public, because people need to understand that there’s serious consequences for these types of things,” Hegseth told far-right podcaster Jack Posobeic in an interview aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln on Wednesday.

A Pentagon official said Thursday that the execution “will be livestreamed,” but did not offer more details. Earlier on Thursday, the Pentagon had referred questions about how the execution would be publicized to the Army, who did not respond to questions from CNN.

quote:

The execution by firing squad would be the first of its kind carried out by the US Army since World War II. Hegseth said in the interview that he liked “the mentality we had in World War II, which was win. Which was understand when the enemy attacks you, you stand your ground.”

Brilliant. All executions should be public.

It's probably more wholesome than 90% of what's on social media

Sounds good to me. Didn't he kill all 13 victims in public?

This is a military execution it should be public.

They should all be public. Part of punishment is to deter others.

Someone’s heart exploding from lead seems like a good lesson for others to see.

Don’t watch.
Change the Channel.
Ignore it.
Why do you care?
How did you even find this on the internet?

I'm wondering what weapons will the firing squad use?

I don't think the M-4 is suitable or appropriate. IMO the M-14 would be a good choice.

Then, where are the members of the firing squad coming from?

As an Army and OEF vet, yes I will be watching the live execution of Hasan. I was stationed at JBLM with the 2nd ID in 09 when this terrorist opened fire on unsuspecting soldiers at Hood I immediately knew Islam was behind this. Bergdahl should face this same kind of execution when he left his OP in the Paktika province and committed treason. A lot of people were wasted looking for this treasonous, coward.

Agree. I bet some “woke, female, libtard” journalist could goad him into actually doing it himself.

Pete Hegseth: We are gonna do this in public. Send a message. Don’t mess with us!!!

Reporter: Why don’t you do it yourself as SecDef? Wouldn’t that send a bigger message?

PH: That’s not my job. We have very skilled marksmen for this.

Reporter: Didn’t you shoot a rifle when you went through Basic Training? Surely someone as tough as you can hit a target from 30 yards?

PH: Of COURSE I can fire a rifle!! It’s just that…

Reporter: What…are you a pussy? Are you afraid? Big bwave Waw Secwetawy scawed of a wittle wifle? Not enough testosterone?

Well, we know what would happen next…

As I have aged, I have become anti-death penalty. But I have become more in favor of gulag style prison. A tent in the desert or similar type accommodations, no bed or pillow, stale bread, water, some protein & veggies. Give them all the time they need to contemplate life & the bad choices that put them there.
