How does Aramark seem to keep such a monopoly on event spaces?
Posted by sidewalkside

I can honestly say I've never had a good experience with Aramark in general. Terrible customer service. Poor quality product. Lack of cleanliness. I can't think of anyone else that likes Aramark so how do they seem to have such a vice grip on stadiums/parks etc?

Legitimate question. They suck at everything.

Because Delaware North is actually even worse at it

You don't like $6.00 room temp water bottles by the 2nd quarter? What kind of fan are you?

They handled our on campus food at ULM. The biscuits and fried chicken were top notch. Everything else, meh.

I swear the average Aramark employee was picked off the corner 30 min before the games start with the promise of a free meal and a crack rock for pay.
Bring back the high school teams and groups running the concession stands.

I’ve tried to never be the bitch about concessions guy because I really don’t care that much. That said, it’s pretty impressive to never be able to serve hot food or cold beer at LSU games. My psycho wife was pouring her beer into cups of ice

Look at their workers. They are able to keep their costs low which beats out the competition.

Mega-corp that can underbid any local/regional providers. All about checking the boxes to the minimum acceptable standard for the lowest price.

LSU: “We’d like to speak to your VP of Diversity. We’d also like the meet your Inclusion Team that the Diversity VP runs.”
High school volunteers: “ … ??? … “
Aramark: “we got this!”

Aramark, Sodexo Live / Centerplate, Delaware North... they are all the same.
They people they hire to be in management of these companies would make city hall employees look like beacons of efficiency and competence.
But they have to pay so much in guarantees to the facility owner that they need to skimp on costs somewhere, and this is where they skimp.
If you want to eat or drink, unless you sneak it in, you have to accept it.

They are probably big enough to always be the best value on paper and stadiums arent going to do a taste test before signing. Plus we catch bitch all we want but I promise you TS still making bank...it's a captive audience.

Corruption, contracts, and they probably have dirt cheap prices since they’ve figured out how to hire the lowest quality workers possible. McDonalds hires better workers than Aramark
