Been on here longer than you. Sure my post count is lower, but that's because I (occasionally) know when to walk away from the back and forth with an idiot. Unless your name, that reminds me of the useless Jim Rome is an alter, of course.

Anyway, cool beans, bro.

Excuse me, sports today is about to start. I need to use my phone to listen to the ESPN radio app since I'm not in my car.

Not much better, tbh.

Well yes and no. I use wavs and hi bit rate mp3's.
The iPad is interfaced via USB connection so it bypasses the analog headphone jack.
It's not a Soloos running through a Berkley Audio Labs DAC but it beats the hell out of xm/Sirius and analog FM with its 15khz roll off.

NPR, WWOZ, WTUL, 1350AM when Fitzmorris or T-Bob are on. Pretty solid lineup in the New Orleans metro area.

I'm fairly certain hell is listening to this show 24 hours a day. They are god fricking awful.

Last time I heard W&J it took several minutes before I realized it was a rerun.

I listen to it because I'm too cheap to pay for satellite.

Is Baton Rouge the worst radio market for a city with a population over 250k?

I put a tablet in the dash.

Pandora with one of the wife's maroon 5 or kesha monstrosities in the morning until I'm five minutes from work, then Tasker launches YouTube and plays "Mac Miller - Loud" at almost full volume.

Cajun music all day, and then a country, rock, or dubstep station on the way home.

I have a method.

What, you don't like hearing "All-Star-fam-i-ly" over and over again?

Turn on the power, find a station I want, and adjust the volume to a comfortable level. It's really pretty easy.

I used to listen to a local sports show and NPR news on radio.

But for more than 5 years I have gone to using my phone via isimple in the car to play Spotify (previously used Pandora) for music and podcasts for talk programs. I probably listen to podcasts the most.

The last time I turned on the radio was to listen to an episode of A Prairie Home Companion that I had attended when they recorded it. Had to connect the antenna to the home receiver for the first time.
