I appreciate the sheer logistics masterpiece that is Disney, Orlando.

I actually just got back from WDW last week. If you know what you are doing, the trip costs about the same as a week in Orange Beach, AL.

We stayed off property with free breakfast, brought our own food and drinks into the parks, and drove. Five days at the parks with park hopper was less than $1900. The room was $700. With gas and all, we spent less than $3200. I guess you could add $300 my daughters got ($150 each) in gift cards for Christmas.

If we had stayed on property, the room was $2000 and food was $1300. If you add in the packet tickets and flight tickets, it was $3000 more, $6300.

All you ever do is call people gay and talk about other guys' "stroke game". You're definitely experimenting in the dick sucking/arse fricking realm. Congrats.

Has there ever been a thread about how much to tip servers at Disney? I feel like that would be a good time.

there was a poster a few months back asking about buying a time share at Disney, which is the most ridiculous fricking thing I've ever heard.
You must know nothing about it. I'm in the "timeshare". You don't have to go more than once every three years. You aren't locked into certain dates. And it's not limited to disney world. They have hotels at hilton head island, vero beach, and hawaii as well as at Disneyland.

It's also the only timeshare that has a real resale market where you can actually get most of your money back or even make a hefty profit if your vacation habits change by choice or necessity.

The rooms are condos ranging from studios to 3 bedroom villas. We usually get the one or two bedroom depending on party size. Kitchen and washer/dryer mean we can save on meals and don't have to pack an outfit for every single day.

It's by far the least risky timeshare there is and for those who go to Disney every couple years or more, it can make sense.

We just got back from our 4th consecutive trip to DW. We go because our daughter loves it.
Everything is overprised at disney. Example: Little Mermaid motorized bubble machine wand and mickey mouse $20 water fan. $20 for something that probably cost $0.50 to manufacture in China. Mandatory purchase when you have a 7 year old daughter.

The key is pacing yourself. Buy the most comfortable shoes you can find; in my case thats Nike.

You're in Orlando the first week of summer. Lol

If this is not the worst choice you've made in your life, what tops it?

Really cool ride. We did FP on it. Yesterday afternoon there was only a 120min wait.
It was 5 hours at one point we were there.

Damn, OP is dumb

-You pay for overpriced hotels (wanna know why you keep bringing back bedbugs from the Motel 8 you keep staying in?)
-overpriced theme parks (Tell me again how much you paid for a 3 hour ball game vs the 12 hour ticket at the theme park?)
-all so you can eat overpriced food (tell me how much that hot dog, popcorn, nachos, or soda cost at the movies/ball game?)
-and buy overpriced garbage souvenirs made in China (who is stupid enough to buy tourist souvenirs. Oh that's right the OP, whos complaining about spending money )

We raised two boys and they had zero desire to go to any park like this. We did schliterbahn (sp) and that was as big as we went. We either did the national parks, historic cities like Boston or D.C or finding a lake or canoe stream. frick those places.

You could read every thread mentioning Disney since this board started and see the exact same shite. The people that like it say the same stuff; it's for the kids, why do you care what I do on my vacation, etc. Then the other side says I don't get it, I'd rather go to real places, it's weird for adults to like it, yadda yadda yadda. Chicken should develop a Disney thread template and be done with it.

I'm raising 3 boys. And a girl. And they all love Disney, even the 14 year old boy.

We've done both of these, as well. The 2 types of vacations aren't mutually exclusive. Plenty of time to experience both types of vacations.

Did you not read the thread?

I'm a sponsor on a trip. I didn't pay my own. It was essentially a free trip for me, minus a few meals. If you want to bitch at me for complaining about a free trip, at least that makes sense.

1. Your comment about 'Motel 8' makes no sense. You can stay at a nice hotel for reasonable prices in places other than Orlando.

2. Why would I need to load up on food and drink at a movie or ballgame? Those things last a few hours. A day at a theme park can be 12 hours, requiring you to get a meal at some point.

3. You don't buy souvenirs when you travel? It's tough to get something at a good price when every store is owned by the same people. Nothing wrong with a little bit of shopping on vacation.

so you went for free because you "sponsor" a trip? Then you didn't go for free.
To wit, you finagled a free trip to a place you're bitching about.

You should probably just stop here and hope this thread moves to the next page.
