I'm always vexed on if I should tip or not for someone just taking my order.

I'd feel better if it were on the food board where this post belongs.

But if I'm talking about tipping should it be on the money board?

The best chefs, and cooks, go to Rouses.

No, tip jars are trashy AF.
Delivery yes of course because a gratuitous service was provided.

I dont even feel the slightest bit of pressure to tip on a carry out. I usally write 0.00 on the receipt.

The hall monitor business must cease. Money and food boards are great for really content specific stuff. But, there is very little traffic for more general topics like this one.

Maybe a dollar or any change I get back. Also depends on where I am and if they give me a large portion. At local buisnesses like Georges I'll usually leave a small tip. Chain restaurants I tend to ignore a tip. Nothing intentional, just how I end up doing things.

Correct answer.

They didn't wait on me for more than a minute but I assume they packaged my food with care making sure it was accurate.

Or you can tip like a boss and get extra shite thrown in the bag in the future because they remember you.

Tipping isn't a retirement in this situation imo, but much appreciated.

I kind of feel like it is pretty unnecessary. Is bringing me a bag and ringing up my order really worth a tip? I used to never do it. Now I leave a dollar or two. Whatever. I'm not going to miss that dollar. I can afford it.
