There is little damage to the cab, you should have worn your seatbelt. My brother rolled a commercial truck multiple times, the cab was smashed flat with the body, he walked away.

Sure, we'll abolish the current laws and let natural selection take care of people like you, then the rest of us will just wear our seat belts.

Win-win if you ask me.

When you're ejected from your vehicle & you fly 60 ft in the air and hit one of my kids then you're affecting my life.

Wear your seatbelt.

Effects others, therefore not your decision.

1. Use of ER staff and facilities

2. Our loss of your excellent whatever you can do.

3. Insurance rates go up.

We should outlaw non-healthy food also because this reasoning could also apply to heart attacks. And alot of other situations.

Government overreach. That being said, the populace has decided they cannot make decisions for themselves.

In short, the Welcome to Costco, I Love You crowd has fricked it up for everyone.

Tobacco companies had to deal with the Master Settlement Agreement, yet fast food companies aren't on the hook for killing people.

In many states they have to wear helmets...drivers in vehicles don't.

Out of curiosity, why wouldn't someone wear a seatbelt? What are the advantages? Does it feel so much better to be seated without one?

Much like motorcycle helmets, you're an idiot if you don't wear them, but it shouldn't be a law for adults, imo.

why do stupid poor people who can't afford kids not wear a condom when they frick? If you want to talk about things that cost us more than people not wearing seatbelt, what about requiring permits for people to breed to eliminate welfare babies? If you are talking about things that kill people more than anything else, outlaw fast food.

Seat belt laws are a cash grab. I wear mine because I choose to but I shouldn't be fined if I choose not to as a grown man making a choice.

Personally, I know more people who have died due to wearing a seat belt than saved by a seat belt.

And if an argument is made about flying out of a car and hitting someone's kids, how often does that happen? I would imagine that it is just as likely as a tree falling and killing your kids as someone flying 60' out of a car and hitting them.

Personal choice. An adult should be able to make their own decisions that have no effect on others. Minors can't legally make their own decisions so require them to wear them.

You become a projectile at high speed, which puts others in danger.

Seatbelt wearing should be up to the individual.

My body, my choice.

Requiring them is borderline fascism.

be realistic, how often do people fly out of cars and endanger someone? If you are going fast enough to be a projectile and yet are around people walking then you should be shot dead anyway. Hopefully, if you are going fast then you are on some country back road and not around people. If you are going 50 or 60 in an urban area around a lot of people then frick you to start with.
