All it took me to sell car #2 was moving downtown and the associated parking issues.
Takes much time to keep one spot available, much less two. My buklding charges more than $500/mo for one spot, so its street parking for me.

Because I'm already paying insurance, maintenance, repairs and gas on 3 of them.

Easy, if I want a truck, I trade in my suv and drive a truck.
I hate cars, all kinds. So I’m not owning one, and don’t need something that goes really fast to compensate for inadequacies.
So there’s no need for a 2nd vehicle, unless a golf cart qualifies, and that’s cause I have bad feet and can’t walk the course anymore.

You can pry my POS daily driver 2005 Toyota Camry from my cold dead hands.

I'm so glad I'm not the only guy who does this. I browse Autotrader daily for no reason at all.

You could put that 30-60k in an index fund and actually have something of value after your 96 months loan repayment would have been completed. Quit spending stupidly like a poor.

If your 5.0 is a mass air, 5-speed Lx with grey interior, wanna sell it?

I have a cheap used Nissan Sentra I bought to drive to work if you want to count that as a second car.

Me being a boring AF point-a-to-point-b kind of guy helps.
I can appreciate a nice car, but at the end of the day, it’s an expensive collection of metal plastic and glass that depreciates rapidly and requires even more money for maintenance and operation.

I'm just not into vehicles like I was when I was younger. They are simply a tool to me these days. I hope my 2017 lasts me another 7 years.

Many will tell you to live simple, and that they drive 20yr old 200,000mi Honda while wearing a new Submariner on the wrist.

No one needs a Rolex either. If the driver gets enjoyment out of it, I'd say it's fine.
