I never went there after it ceased to be a movie theater. But I was a bit older by the time it was a club, and I was never a “dance club” kind of guy.

The strip died a slow death as the 18 year old drinking age began to be tightened up and enforced.

Wait. When did this happen? (Actual Enforcement of the 21 year old drinking age)

The ABC started to conduct raids & ID checks pretty regularly before things started going downhill there.

Yeah I love the Reve stout.

Speaking of Parish Brewery. They're about to start expanding into Texas and Mississippi and other surrounding states.

I hope the brew pub downtown will do well. It seems like they're following Courtyard Brewerry in NOLA's model, which is a great place to drink and hang out

It was really bad last year. Culcha packing the streets and sidewalks just standing around.
But the old karma "lounge" re-opened so it's not so bad anymore.

Graham Central Station?

It started out good, but went to shite quickly.

Maybe I’m just old now, but I like it much better as a Rouses.

Speaking of City Bar, anyone have any thoughts on them suing the City of Lafayette? Place has been shut down for going on 2 years now and is pretty much a shell of a building with a dirt floor.

Oh and RIP Filling Station/Hook N Boil.

I'm not sure when, but they signed some distributing deal with some company out of state to make their common beers on a bigger level than they can handle and then they'll make more of their speciality in house.

I saw last week where the sheriffs office had been ordered to seize the place and put it up for sale.
