First you have to make a long Facebook post about how great of a person you are.

Don't actually do anything but post old pictures of a line of boats on Facebook as if you're on your way this weekend

Dave, get in touch with me at tysimmons17@gmail.com
I used to work with a main coordinator for the Cajun Navy and I've been looking for people with boats to help the cause since Harvey made landfall.
Anybody else with a boat seeing this, feel free to email me as well.

Step 1: own boat
Step 2: go out an rescue
Step 3: profit?
It's just anyone in a boat. Not an official Navy.

I think being on flooded streets that you're unfamiliar with it would be nice to be with some other baws and maybe a little coordination. Just knowing where to unload your boat and park would be a big help.

Taking FB pics is a requirement. Best just to bring your wife with so she can document everything and keep FB updated to the hour.
Don't get me wrong, the cajun navy is a cool thing born completely organically. I'm sure those people sitting on their roofs don't care what motivates the people coming in boats to get them.
But what would really impress me is a cajun sandbag filling army. Something tells me there won't be quite was many members or FB pics taken.

Start your own group called the Cajun ANTIFA. All camo with camo mask. Let the liberals join so they will know what it's like to actually do something good for society.

Son, I know you mean well but if all you got is an 8ft boat you just as soon stay outta the way. You will learn that when it comes to the size of a boat- size does matter!
But props to you...

Friend who lives in Houston saw a boat go by with LSU stuff on it (not sure exactly what). They are glad to see Louisiana people with boats.
