The sandbag fillers at the schools were the real heros last year IMO. Filling sandbags is the most thankless job there is in a flood, but damnit those people were out there in the middle of the parking lots in that hot arse sun filling bags at least 12 hours a day.

You're right about there. There's no glory hunters out there filling those bags. If it hadn't been for them we wouldn't have saved half the houses we did.

to the bag fillers.

According to Clyde Cain (member of the Cajun Navy) on Headline News, they are being shot at while trying to help

I'll won't call him a liar, but something seemed strange about the call.

Replaying the interview now. Saying that one of the boats broke down and people are now trying to steal the broken down boat.

Also playing in to HLN's push that Houston should have been evacuated.

Cajun Navy baws loading up at Costco in BR, so you might want to try there if you are in the area.

ETA: It's actually kind of interesting Garrett graves and camera crew getting it all documented. This is going to help his political future.

We need gas, 2 stroke oil, water, energy bars, first aid supplies, diapers, baby formula, and stuff like that. Best way to get stuff to us would be through many of the charities mentioned. They have people waiting on us in a lot of locations when we drop people off, and can relay things to the rescuers.

I just fouled out my backup prop so I can't do anymore rescuing until I can get my hands on another one.

Most of the people I was getting out had not ate, or had anything to drink for a day or so. Lots of dehydration, and just plain hungry. I'm gonna make my way back home, and pray I can get there. Good Luck everyone, and prayers sent.

It's not. I heard members of the Cajun Navy confirm it on their radio feed. U.S Marshals had to come rescue them

The requirements are: a truck, a boat, and a facebook account so you can make sure everyone sees you doing good deeds.

Damn shame if true.

One of my best friends is over there. Hadn't heard from him about getting shot at yet. Odds are he'd throw a few back at them and leave

How does it look coming back into BR via Many/nach/190e over the old bridge? Just east of Lufkin Tx now.

Eh, I'll take it with a grain of salt until officially confirmed by a flag officer of the Cajun Navy.
