At church. I play in a 60’s - 70’s cover band and was walking by her and this guy talking. She was saying she had never heard a Beatles song all the way thru. I stopped to find out how in the world this happens. I invited her to the band gig that Friday. She showed up and we started talking occasionally. Found out she lived 2 houses down from me in this relatively small town. Our tenth anniversary is this year.

I had my learner's permit so I drove my mom to a house she was delivering food too since the family had been in a bad car crash. I first saw my wife while she was with her mom practicing walking on the drive way. That was 1981. Married in 1991.

We were good friends in high school but I was dating one of her best friends even though the rest of her friends said it was obvious we were the ones that needed to be together. After college I got engaged to a girl who I now know was the antichrist but it fell apart one Christmas and we ended up texting for the first time in a couple years the weekend after I broke it off. A couple weeks later I invited her to come up to my hunting camp and we’ve been together ever since. I was very lucky to end up with the right girl.

Post college, lived in house and would grill and drink on the weekends.
She lived next door with a big fat cat and we would always invite them (best friend) over, but they would always declined.
Moved to Cincinnati for work and a year later had to come to Milwaukee for my buddies wedding. Started talking to now wife and discover she is the same girl with the fat cat that rejected all of my invites.
We leave reception and go to the Harp on water street in Milwaukee for one last drink, I crash at her place (with fat cat sleeping on top of me). Next morning, drive back to Cincinnati early (no sex) and don't call her for two weeks.
She calls all pissed because I haven't reached out and she has hurt feelings, so I bought her a plane ticket to come to Cincinnati for the weekend to hang out.
Well, it was a great weekend and I drove her to the airport, went home and packed because I had to be in Columbus and Cleveland OH for work early in the morning.
Made it outside of Columbus OH (5am), when her GF called and said the plane caught fire and had to land outside of Indianapolis and she was in the hospital. The GF, was bitching me out for not answering the phone that night, but as it turns out, now wife unplug my phone to iron her travel clothes (yes, I'm old and had phone fax landlines).
Still married 20yrs later and she still unplugs my shite.

Christmas-New Year's break, 1981/82. Top deck of the SS President showboat in New Orleans for a concert by The Cold. Introduced by a mutual friend. I was 17, she was 14 and I think was wearing her retainer. Thought she was cute; we dated a few times, then 2 years later we dated steady for a couple of years. Had a bad breakup; I moved away to Atlanta for grad school and she finished college and started med school.
We never talked or saw each other for three years, then I called her out of the blue. We got back together; I moved back to La, we got engaged and married.
30th anniversary this November.
