I think you may have skipped a few pages in your evolution of man textbook.

ETA: oof, did you even buy the English textbook?

Try working outside in this shite wearing FRC's. Whoever the genius fricker was that thought it was a good idea to have to wear FRC's in this heat never had to actually work outside of an office.

Windows open, attic fan, higher ceilings. It was dusty and miserable. I remember when we got our first a/c.

So you are saying humans will all die if they went without AC for a few days, during the summer?

Attic fans did a decent job of keeping the house bearable. Those suckers would rattle a house

They had houses built better to handle heat. They had things like large attic fans that would circulate the air from open windows. They didn't know any different, so they didn't bitch about it.

I lived for a time where there was no central heat and air. You would be surprised how quickly you adjust.

It probably didn't bother them because everyone smelled bad.. So it was something they were used to.

We didn't have it in school until 10th grade.

We played outside all summer. It is not that bad in the shade when the breeze is blowing.

I'd take the miserable heat over the miserable cold any day.

I just couldn't imagine bringing home an infant in that heat.

Why? If that is the environment the infant is in, that is what the infant will get used to.

Houses have always been heated. AC is relatively recent.

Neither grandparents had central AC, woke up in the morning, played video games till it started to get really hot around 10 am, then went outside played like normal kids till it got dark.

Occasionally sat in living room/or the one room in the house with the big window unit. All other rooms had fans, even had a fan on the porch.

People these days.....

I think most people can relate at least a little. It's not the same, but if you've had your AC go out in Summer and have dealt with it a few days, you've probably found you're not dying on day 3 like you expected on day 1.

Most difficult part for me is how people dressed like they did in prior centuries and dealt with the heat, but I'm guessing the answer is the same (you adjust).
