How Can I Cure My White Guilt?

I consider myself an ally. I research proper etiquette, read writers of color, vote in a way that will not harm P.O.C. (and other vulnerable people). I engage in conversations about privilege with other white people. I take courses that will further educate me. I donated to Black Lives Matter. Yet I fear that nothing is enough. Part of my fear comes from the fact that privilege is invisible to itself. What if I’m doing or saying insensitive things without realizing it.

These effing people piss me off. My great grandfather lost everything in the Great Depression. No one gave him shite because he was white. My grandfather was a hobo on trains to and fro looking for work in the Great Depression. My father studied his arse off and worked his way through school. My mom grew up dirt poor with no dad. No one gave them anything. I worked through school. I have always gotten up and worked as long and as hard as it takes.
You get your arse up in the morning and you go to work. When people talk about privilege, in my mind it is an excuse for laziness. To hell with them.

Why the frick should I feel guilty about being white? Pretty sure it’s not something I control. Also fairly certain I’m not responsible for the actions of any other person regardless of their color. So, no, I don’t feel guilty.

and to a lesser extent, this white boy right here joined the army to pay for college, became the first person in his family to graduate college, went on to medical school, yada yada
so to cure my non-existent white guilt, i usually go to Ruth's and get a bone in ribeye and a $20 glass of cab
