I'm riddled with shame. White shame. This isn’t helpful to me or to anyone, especially people of color. I feel like there is no “me” outside of my white/upper middle class/cisgender identity. I feel like my literal existence hurts people, like I’m always taking up space that should belong to someone else.
I consider myself an ally. I research proper etiquette, read writers of color, vote in a way that will not harm P.O.C. (and other vulnerable people). I engage in conversations about privilege with other white people. I take courses that will further educate me. I donated to Black Lives Matter. Yet I fear that nothing is enough. Part of my fear comes from the fact that privilege is invisible to itself. What if I’m doing or saying insensitive things without realizing it.
Folks, This is what mental illness looks like. It's a real problem and the more the liberals are allowed to peddle their ignorant bullshite the more semi-retarded people will be thrust over the cliff into full blown crazy-ville.

You will never be compliant enough, honkey.

He did hit on one good point, privilege is invisible. Blacks and gays need to start recognizing theirs

Why does anyone feel guilty over their skin color and how they were born? You can't control it. God we need a new plague or something... too much free time to worry about dumb shite like this

I'm proud to be a southern born white man. Whatever happened in the past, is in the past. It would be senseless for me to feel guilty about anything my ancestors did generations ago. In my opinion, the biggest factor fueling this "movement" is people wont let it go.
Each generation becomes more liberal and delusional....

Realize that every is successful civilization on earth was built on the backs of Rapers and reavers, slavers and thieves.
The myth that we should feel guilty is simply a tool of the weak.

This white guilt stuff is so racist. That you believe yourself so superior that you have to try and make yourself a martyr is pretty disgusting.
Basically telling black people that you are better than them and you recognize that, so you are going to make yourself suffer just like them.

Most people that feel this way live in some kind of white Mecca that’s 95% white.
This. And I guarantee that weeping vagina is also either wealthy himself or comes from a wealthy family.
You have to live one hell of a comfortable life to have the time to come up with this shite.
Most people are too busy providing for their families to give two fricks about the majority of SJW bullshite that's out there today.

Another part of it is that I’m currently immersed in the whitest environment I’ve ever been in. My family has lived in the same apartment in East Harlem for four generations. Every school I attended, elementary through high school, was minority white, but I’m now attending an elite private college that is 75 percent white. I know who I am, but I realize how people perceive me and this perception feels unfair. I don’t talk about my feelings because it’s hard to justify doing so while people of color are dying due to systemic racism and making this conversation about me would be again centering whiteness. Yet bottling it up makes me feel an existential anger that I have a hard time channeling since I don’t know my place. Instead of harnessing my privilege for greater good, I’m curled up in a ball of shame. How can I be more than my heritage?

White guilt doesn't belong on the page.
