How are the Amazon drivers in ur area?

Here, they are shite, drive 20 over speed limit in subdivisions and side streets, look to be on work release from prison, and have stole 3 packages so far from me.
One claimed package went missing during route, other 2 claimed packages were delivered, only problem, I was home both days, in living room, watching tv and Dog never barked, and she sits in window and barks at everyone.
I think they know what's in the package, it's been gift cards, all 3 were $200 Visa gift cards. My beef jerky got here, but day later the gift card just disappears, lol.
Amazon has been great in refunding, and i continue to mention how shitty the company(out of tenn), who is delivering for them, is.

They're usually too busy facetiming to pay attention to the road.

I've noticed they seem to think it's cool to just stop their trucks in the middle of the street to make their deliveries.

I almost got t-boned by one in my neighborhood at a four way stop a few months ago. He never even tapped his brakes. Some young guy staring at his phone.

there's a reason they are driving vans for Amazon and it isn't because they split the atom

There was one, who had his radio so loud, i could hear him on other side of house, on shitter with exhaust fan on, while grunting one out.

Why buy visa gift card from Amazon ?

Since Amazon went with their own delivery drivers (or contractors I guess), I’ve had multiple packages disappear after saying they were out for delivery. I don’t think that ever happened with UPS or FedEx.

This would be a good spin off thread. I noticed that a lot of people, Amazon drivers included, think it's cool to stop wherever the frick they want as long as they put their hazard lights on.

They're fine here in Nashville, and by fine I mean no worse than any other driver on the road. That's a low bar, however.

Just a habit of buying gift card on Amazon. Every once in a while they will have a pay $40/$45 for $50 gift card for eateries, so i just buy from them.

Sounds like the growing pains of a major company.
Or, would you rather have drones delivering your packages?

Take a look at the Mercedes vans they drive that are only what about a year or so old? They look like bumper cars.

In BR they are awful drivers. They drive super fast and are always on their phones. I also don’t think they understand how gravity works with how fast they try to turn those tall arse vans sometimes.

My guess is your package got delivered to the wrong address once. And with how the system is, new drivers are just delivering to the previous drop off point without even thinking to actually verify the address.

Delivery drivers aren’t technically Amazon employees. They work for a third party that exclusively delivers for Amazon. I believe the BR area has 3 or 4 such companies. They own the trucks, they pay the drivers, they are responsible for making sure they aren’t shite ... giving the demand they have to take what they can get.
That said, I can tell you with every confidence that delivery drivers do not know what’s in the package. They pick up their packages in the AM and are told what route they are to drive and what package goes where. A slow day in the BR area is around 17k packages - every single day - so some things are going to get lost in the system. Believe it or not a lot of it is still manually entered into the system each step of the way (I was amazed by this myself).
Typically a package is scanned in when it comes to the local sort facility, then it is placed into larger delivery bags which are then placed into the vans. Only when it is delivered by the driver is it scanned again, so if it was placed in the wrong bag/area at the sort facility then the system could report that your driver is on the way but when he gets to that item on his device and discovers it isn’t in his van, he has to mark it and move on to his next package.
I imagine the system will be improved when the permanent sort facility in BR is built ... and yes, everything is pointing to Cortana getting a fulfillment center (as long as JBE and SWB don’t frick it up).
