That's one of the few places I can get them.
Sadly the nearest one to me is 50 minutes away.

Most of the others taste the same as they always did growing up. Butterfingers have nosedived in flavor and gone from an 8.5 to a solid 4.
Whoever changed the recipe should be strung up by their toenails.
Kit kat is underrated, but the GOAT is a dark chocolate milky way midnight, followed by caramello.

Same way I always wonder how nutrageous bars aren't everyone's favorite candy.

20 years ago Butterfinger was one of my favorites and I'd have called you crazy.
I tried one recently for the 1st time in a long time. Their quality has completely tanked. That's not the flavor or texture Butterfinger I grew up loving as a kid.
No doubt. Butterfingers used to stay together and get real tacky once after a couple of chews. Dry as hell now

Nestlé sold Butterfinger (along with its broader U.S. confectionery portfolio) to the Italian chocolate and candy company Ferrero SpA in 2018 for $2.8 billion in cash.
Key Details of the Sale:
• The Buyer: Ferrero Group (maker of Nutella and Kinder) acquired more than 20 Nestlé U.S. brands, including Butterfinger, Baby Ruth, 100 Grand, and Crunch.
• The Reason: Nestlé divested its American candy business to pivot toward higher-growth wellness and core categories like pet care, coffee, and bottled water as U.S. chocolate sales shifted.
• Recipe Changes: Following the acquisition, Ferrero reformed the Butterfinger recipe to use higher-quality peanuts and a richer chocolate coating, which drew mixed reactions and debate among longtime fans online.

I bet they sell them in the candy section at Cracker Barrel. They have all sorts of throwback candies.
I like Cracker Barrel and have bought candy from there but way too often It's been that shite that probably sat in some store for years that somehow Cracker Barrel acquired and is now trying to sell it to you.
I like chocolate and too many times I've gotten chocolate that has obviously been melted or is very old because it has that powdery surface that doesn't look like chocolate and the taste and texture is absolutely horrible.
But by the time you open it and start consuming it you're 20 miles down the road so you're not gonna drive back and get your money back and they know it.
And that's obviously how those convenience stores owned by Indians operate so I never buy anything to eat from an Indian owned or run convenience store no matter how nice it looks.
I very rarely eat candy now anyway so it doesn't really matter to me anymore, but I think it's a fricked up way to do business and it's screwing over your customers so the people who do it need to be outed.

100% they and many other candies have changed. Reese changed their cups for sure.
Walk into any given store and find Reese’s 10 different ways. The pieces are the best though.

Call me crazy, but I am a HUGE fan of candy corn.
Brachs even makes an autumn mix of candy corn and mellowcreme pumpkins.
Most stores in my area were out of candy corn, but I found one that had some in stock.

I agree with whoever said Reese’s changed. Had one last night - incredibly average.

I think they are using a worse chocolate and peanut butter.
Reese was bought by Hershey a while back and the heir was absolutely bitching about the quality and taste in the last year.

It all comes down to freshness, and you never know until you take that first bite.
A fresh butterfinger will crumble softly in your mouth, releasing a mix of flavors that is in the top ten of all candybars ever released.
Bite into one that's been sitting on some shelf or in some warehouse for 60 days, and it's like sticky concrete that you have to pry out of your teeth, hoping not to shatter one.
They should date every package.

I stopped eating them because they stick like glue to my teeth

Caramel? Dude, that's peanut butter. I see your problem, you have no taste.
