This is way more than a month....

At least 2 months of quarantine with impact probably of 6 month to get us back.

You realize a lot of people are getting the covid check automatically deposited right? So there isn’t even an official “cashing” of the check.

Just issue number one out of many with your post

Yes, make it nearly impossible for 80% of Americans to borrow anything. The economy will love it, how are you not an economist or an investment banker?

There has to be a penalty for not being financially responsible and saving enough to last you at least 1 freaking month. Seems we are short-sighted and want to bail irresponsible people out every single time chicken little thinks the sky is falling. People who can't manage to go a month or two need to be reevaluated about their credit worthiness. Would you accept a bailout if it would hurt your credit for the next 3 years? Would you

Rolls eyes. I guess you're sitting out of work if you have the time to type these words of wisdom.

News Flash. Some of us were told NOT to work. NOT our fault. Savings get used up pretty quickly in situations like this. By April 30th, I will be off without pay for 45 days.

It is pretty pathetic how many people can’t survive 1-2 missed checks

Yea, that'll definitely help recovery when we get through this. I'm not for letting people take a free ride, but damn a 400pt hit for 3 years? You can't even rent a shithole apartment with that credit rating.

Large corporations should get handouts but people should not. Republican socialism at its finest.

Let's not forget the banks ripping the people off. There's no reason to charge 16%, 23%, and even 28% on credit cards. This needs to be regulated and interest rates should be dropped by a LARGE margin and capped.

Wait a second. You think the average person that purposely neglects to pay their rent gives a frick about their credit?

Scruffy has great credit, doesn’t miss a single mortgage payment, and qualifies for the check.

Why should he not accept the check?

Definitely paid taxes on every paycheck.
