We'll still be going back once the girls get a little older and they can handle a few hours...but we only go for the animals. Before the youngest was born we would take the older there...be in by 830-9am...walk the convention area see a mutton bustin event...hit the horses on the other side and be gone by 11-noon. Never any real issues if that's your plan.

I stayed near the junction of 69 and 288. Close to 3rd Ward and midtown? It was a small gated building with maybe 5 multi-story lofts. EXACTLY what you expect with gentrification. It wasn’t nearly as run down as the area was back in the day, but one trip to CVS was enough to remind you of the culcha.
