I'm not sure there is one street left in Houston where you won't be asked for something while waiting at the light.

Westheimer is the worst. Every single intersection. All four corners! From Highway 6 all the way to Montrose Blvd.

I also noticed a billboard today that said, "It's okay to say no to panhandlers."

Anyone else in Houston notice this? Is it like that, this in Louisiana?

It’s like that in every city. Homeless drug bums.

I thought that the streets of Texas were lined with Bluebonnets and the promise of a better day?

the full-on encampments beneath overpasses, with 5-10 stinky folk, are even better.

The Montrose/Westheimer area is absurd. There are 4-8 panhandlers on all sides every day.

However, it is much worse (and more aggressive) in New Orleans. St. Charles and Louisiana was one of my least favorite lights in the city for that reason.

They are everywhere because this beloved city is home to many wretched pathetic sympathizers who give them money.

It’s a simple supply and demand situation over here.

Most southern cities sees an influx prior to winter. Just tell them politely to stay the frick away from my car.

In just over year in Houston, I have only had one negative experience with a panhandler. They are less aggressive than in most other US cities.

NYC is by far the most aggressive. Chicago, NOLA, and DC are fairly aggressive. LA and Houston are on the less aggressive side, and Salt Lake City is in its own world where the homeless are almost apologetic.

I never had any issue in DC. Houston bums were hit or miss. NYC they’re all fricking nuts and will get in your face. Hell, I think the BR frickers are getting more aggressive than most big city bums.

There’s a black guy at 10/Chimney Rock who needs some serious help. He wanders into moving traffic and just about gets hit everyday. Against my better judgement, I gave him a plastic bag full of quarters (about 8-9 bucks worth) and he was so damn thankful

Hopefully he gets some help. Why the hell aren’t cops on their arse anyway? So lazy they are.

I use to live off Westheimer and Dairy Ashford and there was always this one guy who held a sign saying "Starving Christian". I offered him a bottle of water once and he told me he only accepts money. I asked hows that working out for you, and he turned around and walked back to his spot.

Most bums are like the rest of us, they prefer to live where the air doesn't smell like boiled egg farts .

No it’s not like this in Louisiana. We send all our losers to Texas. Just look at the Texas posters on this board

I thought Houston had hired Walmarks greeters for all their redlights to show how friendly Texas is.

That’s why I just show them my receipts.

That's actually West Monroe.

The worst panhandlers are in Springfield, MO.

The people complained and the city scrapped the make shift tent encampments downtown and it’s like they dispersed all over the city.

Ten times worse.

Yes every city has them but not as bad as Louisiana. You gotta remember we’re one of the poorest states. We have them in every corner even smaller cities. Most states only have them in their main large cities.

Only been to Austin once, but it seemed worse there. Most of the homeless in downtown Houston don't bother me when I pass them.
