Majkszaks

They are so overpriced it’s ridiculous. Last time I walked in there I walked out with like 4lbs of meat for $200 - I’m cool with paying that for quality meat but not commercial feed lot meat. I’m fairly certain they’re just buying from a cargill slaughterhouse.

The meat folks at the Tomball farmers market have the best quality around IMO. Priced way better than anyone else only downside is they’re just open saturdays. I’ve got their card somewhere if I find it I’ll post their info. The best steaks I’ve ever cooked came from them.

For those up here in Montgomery county, Ainsworth has decent meat for the price - it’s still coming from a cargill slaughterhouse but they’re consistent and nice folks. Also better pricing than Majkszaks.

Calico Fresh up in Conroe has steaks sometimes, the few I’ve had are decent but they’re unreliable and those people give me weird vibes.

I’ve got three I need to slaughter right now but getting a slot at a butcher is damn near impossible right now.

We buy a lot of meat, over the counter medicines/vitamins, alcohol, fruit/veggies, paper towels, TP, Tide etc…I think it is definitely worth the 100 a year

You must live in Katy, if you’re shopping at the Cinco H-E-B. I never have an issues at ours, which is the one located on Nelson Way. Have you checked out Meat Masters or Cherry Block? Both are located in Katy.

have been pretty unimpressed with HEB meat quality.

Never the less I say HEB. I grabbed some Angus strips at mine today that they declared were choice but looked way too much like prime to pass up. They have off days but overall still the best.

You usually find those in a 4-pack in the deep cooler vs the upright display cooler.

If you think Rouses and WD are over priced you should come see Houston prices.

I get my beef from Whole Foods. I know the cows were treated humanely before they were slaughtered.
