My Daily commute from port Allen to Baton Rouge was a dream today. Hopefully more of the same tomorrow.

It is pretty crazy how something pretty far away has an impact in BR. Cutting off that cross country traffic cut down on almost all of BR's traffic. Goes to show you we need a freaking loop to route all that through traffic around the city.

Some of these families in SouthEast Texas have now gone thru this 3 years in a row. You know losing their homes, having to start over. But, congrats on your trafficless commute one day a year.

They need a loop to by-pass all of Baton Rouge to keep us safe

Texas, being proactive like always, already signed a small piece of US 190 as I-14 from Temple to Killeen.

Don’t get me wrong, this obviously sucks for those people, but at what point do people start to take responsibility for living in a dangerous area?

If I lived below a volcano and my place got wiped out I’m probably not going to rebuild there.

People say jobs, family, etc...keep them there, but jobs can be found elsewhere in an area where hurricanes, floods and what not aren’t relatively the norm and trips can be made to see family.

I guess I just don’t get why people act surprised when this stuff happens and there is a proven track record of it being a possibility.

While Louisiana has authorized a $22M study to have a 10’ length of sidewalk in Scotlandville “Every Man A King Thruway”.

Maybe wait a few days before being so cynical about people who have lost everything. Just a thought

When those Texas drivers get rolling again they'll be twice as reckless.

I almost told you to kill yourself in a horrific way, but Jesus told me to just say I'll pray for you.
