Letting people Buy for a dollar sell for two. I detest what opioids do to humans but taking doors doesn’t stop anything

7800 Harding St. was a drug house where black tar heroin was sold

"They didn't deal drugs from out of that house," said another neighbor, who grew up with Tuttle and Nicholas. "They're not those type of people." In a search of the house after the shootout, Houston police found marijuana, an unknown white powdery substance, several shotguns and a rifle.

America: you can kill your baby up until the day it's born but don't you DARE have a plant and a gun in your house.

so it was tested on the scene and didn't come back positive for anything they have kits for?

Means it was not drugs, but the police had to put something else in the report besides marijuana.

100%.

Exactly.

This is a bad look for the police department unless some good info comes out. Cops could've died for this.

Houston police said Tuttle emerged from a back room of the house and shot four undercover officers after they broke open his front door and shot and killed his pit bull that had charged at them.

And just like that, an anti-abortion person wove this into a conversation about no-knock warrants and marijuana.

You're telling me this is a house where it's sold and there's not even one tiny little shred of evidence of it in the house?

If watching COPS has taught me anything, people that are dealers are usually sloppy and make mistakes in hiding things.

Eh, I'm not sure they would have a reason to test it at the scene here given that they already got the guys for marijuana.

It seems odd to me that a herion dealer in his late 50s has no previous arrest record. His wife's only prior arrest was for writing a bad check for $145.

The cops, 18 total, break down the door while announcing they're HPD. They shoot an aggressive dog and the husband comes out of a back room shooting a .357, striking the lead narc in the neck. He falls back onto a couch as the other cops return fire. The wife, who was unarmed, was shot because she was reaching for an officer's weapon.

The cops back out of the house to treat their wounded. SWAT later sends in a robot about an hour later and confirmed both suspects are dead.

A search of the house found some weed and an unknown white substance, but apparently no black tar herion. This story seems kind of fricked up to me.

I saw this on the local news here last night. The one guy was his neighbor and friend for 30 years and seemed stunned.

They are done in an attempt to procure evidence, and prevent its destruction. It is, in no way, for the safety of the officers. Multiple units in cover, and covering exit routes, while announcing their presence is far safer for the officers. But it puts the prosecution of the alleged criminal at risk.

I don't have a good answer on where the best balance is.

Could just be a dude that got hooked on oxy after a hospital visit. Couldn’t afford the habit, picks up H, slangs a little on the side to keep it going. Some dipshit junkie gets picked up and rats them out. Cops do a buy at the house for a small amount. They have cause for the warrant and kick down the door after the judge signs off.

They 100% would've tested it at the scene.

And lol at "got the guys for marijuana". They killed them

Killing two people on a no-knock warrant looking for heroin. That becomes an instant locked-down crime scene where they are testing everything. They have these little kits that show what things are instantly.

It was probably either a non-narcotic cutting agent or something non-drug related at all.

Could also be that the cops had the wrong location or went to the wrong house and the man responded exactly as every man would when someone breaks into their home.

It wouldn’t be the first time.
