you are severely discounting the stupidity of the majority of Harris county residents. They will vote Democrat and race over anything else.

This. I live in the Heights and I'm amazed at all the fricking idiots. One bitch up my street is in a beautiful well taken care of home and she has a "mothers against Greg Abbott" sign on her lawn. I've already had 2 people knock on my door about Beto. frick YOU and get the frick off my property. Harris county is littered with liberals. Its disgusting.

Liberal white wine moms are the death of this country. What did Hot Wheels do to piss them off?

Damn. Sucks. Thankfully I have a gated house that is locked 100% of the time so no door knockers for me.

Having said that we stayed at the downtown Hilton Saturday night and walked to dinner and walked to a concert as did many other people. I felt safe the whole time

Because lots of homeless people everywhere don’t make you feel unsafe? Or because there weren’t lots of homeless people?

They're both shite holes

Y'all are just arguing about which ones worse

It's like ULL and ULM arguing over who's got the better basketball team

Both are shite and everyone knows it

Houston still gets to flex its muscle as a world-class city of innovation in the fields of energy and medicine and contains perhaps the most diverse population in the entire Western Hemisphere.

Nola feels like a city operating in a mode of managed decline (my naive opinion after living there for the last 7 months)

What city best represents your shining hope for humanity, then?

Yeah the Bissonnet track is basically Hamsterdam from The Wire. If anyone here hasn’t been and wants to go on what I call an urban safari, tool up and cruise on through.

Crime is without a doubt way up here but still seems largely localized to the areas where it was high already.

i had a meeting with a business right down the road from the main track and waze took me right thru the heart. Broad daylight on a weekday with hookers knocking my window. It really is a sight to see. I would love to see what that place looks like on a Friday night but i value my life too much

It makes gunspoint look like Bellaire.

Link? I am in these areas every single day and never feel unsafe or like I am targeted.

Where do you live?

Agreed! I may live in Cypress, but I do venture into town quite often. I have never experienced any issues.

Should tell them you're undecided, take their brochures (for the trash), and ask questions to waste their time.

I'm not sure if the person who came up with that slogan, deserves a $1M bonus, or lifetime punches in the nuts.

Completely agree! While certainly liberal, when Emmett was in office instead of Hidalgo, Turner worked closely with him. While he is a career politican, Turner isn't the kind with National aspirations. He's nowhere near as far left as Dora. Dora, is just a pawn of the Dem party as a whole.

Turner and Emmett did joint press conferences all the time for an big issues or emergencies. Dora is so far over there that Turner doesn't even want to be in the picture with her. Most of her press conferences are alone. She says crap (especially regarding Covid) and Turner wants no part of it. He's a more status quo kind of guy.

The catalytic converters were stolen off my truck in Houston last week.

Still a much better city than Nola but the democrats are starting to overwhelm another once-thriving city.

The Houston suburbs are still great. Although that’ll change too as Democrats do their thing.
