House across from Walk On's in Zachary

Have any of you seen the house with this huge sign out front?
I take it the homeowner is an older person that's angry that someone built a couple of 4 or 5 story buildings across the street or possibly they are frustrated with the construction or traffic noise around Walk On's.
Anyone know the back story here? The house looks neglected (possibly empty), and it's directly across from the Walk On's development.

Property tax is a bitch

I live a minute from there. Developers have been trying to get this person to sell for some time and he refuses.

They made him an offer on the house and he demanded something like $750,000, so they built around him and used eminent domain to get the pieces of land they needed to work on the road there.
From what I was told by people who knew more about it, the work on that area was in public planning for a long time before he built his house there and his demands were so high that they quit negotiating with them. Hence the passive aggressive sign.

To explain the bitching, the traffic circle and other work on that highway ended up cutting off their existing driveway and left them with an oddly shaped plot of land which cuts its ability to be resold considerably.

Property tax is indeed a bitch. It should also be abolished.

I used to live in the Americana apartments for about 8 months. That traffic circle is the most annoying thing ever and the main reason. I moved out as quick as I did. Every retard in Zachary with aftermarket exhaust on their bug arse trucks likes to floor it coming out of the traffic circle. I always assumed that's what he meant by being denied the enjoyment of his home

It looks like the front of his house has become the back of his house and now to access his driveway they built a new road across his back yard.
That sucks.
That sucks.

He ought to just a shitload of balloons to his house and float off to South America.

He probably should have cashed in when he had the chance. Two things you can not win against. The Government and corporations/developers that have politicians in their pockets.
Do what we want or we'll ruin you. Sad state of affairs. He should have had someone to advise him or listened to those that were advising him.

Not being denied the American dream of simply selling your house and buying a different one if you aren't happy

Cause they didn’t need the land that’s under it. They only gonna take what they need. Their need fricked his shite all up

Open up an oriental message parlor.
Have a huge sign.
See soccer mom’s and Karen’s melt.
Or
Have a pig farm and let the smell piss off Karen and Soccer moms.
Either way eventually thank a Karen or soccer mom for complaining.
This will cause the developers to buy you out.
Sell for a profit, when the developer buys you out.

We are the only species in this world that pays for the land that we live on then they tax that land on top of that.
