That was my exact thought. It will take ten years or more, with 100's of trips to get the material up there.
BTW, how do you order a hooker to your room when in space and how much do you tip the maid for a hotel like this?

With as hungover/tired/ready to be home as I am after a normal out of town trip, I can't even imagine the feeling of coming back from friggin space.
So absolutely not. Although it would be cool to trip balls up there.

The cost is staggering to make it work. Probably looking North of a billion dollars to make it and then at the cheapest numbers with SpaceX, it is still around $9,100/lbs to launch into orbit. So a 200lbs man would cost $1,000,000 to get there and that is assuming we are running at max capacity on the launch vehicle.
I guess there might be enough filthy rich people though to drop $50 million for a week long vacation though.

Will they take Marriott or Hilton points?

And skip town once it becomes clear this isn't real.
ETA : $9.5 million per guest

She better be happy with whatever she gets.
Where else is she gonna work?

I don't see how this will be profitable even at 9.5 mill a person. Unless of course there are tons of people with that type of money to spend and willing to do it on something like this.

This is what I want to know. I'm currently sitting on a huge stack of Hilton points.

What would you do while you're up there? Moon golf? I know you're not sunbathing at the pool. Would you just stare at the earth?
