Louisiana is much better than crystal which is much better than Tabasco.
Tabasco is watery vinegar.

#1 was El Yucateco but I’m sure that’s just pretentious hipster sauce
No. It’s good.

I agree Tiger Saice is underrated.
But my list goes like this:
Crystal (if you want flavor)
Tobasco (for heat)
Louisiana as a fallback
Tiger Sauce for oysters
Franks sucks.

I like Tabasco when I am cooking, more to add flavor than to add heat. But if you put in enough that you can identify it as Tabasco, you've added too much. If I need heat I go with cayenne pepper.
That said, El Yucateco is the shite. It's a habanero sauce so hot as hell, but smoooooooth, with zero vinegar bite. I never considered it a hipster sauce, because I've always had it at El Rancho in BR, which if you have been there is probably the most hipless place in town. It's just great stuff and you should try it. You can't stand the heat, and you can't stop adding more. It's addictive...

That's why it's perfect with heavy and rich foods like red beans and gumbo.
It’s a great way to add acid to red beans

While I agree Franks sucks on its own, it has its place. It is a key ingredient if you are trying to make Buffalo Wings, for example.

Yeah, cholula and sriracha for me.

Tabasco is a good ingredient in things that need an acid. Crystal is a better condiment over finished food. Yucateco is awesome and the red will light up your butthole. Put the TP in the freezer!

I've started really liking Ellis Stansels Clearly Cajun for adding after redbeans have been cooked and for jambalaya.

I personally am not a fan of hot hot sauce. I'm a puss, I reckon but I like the flavor of Franks and this Tabasco.
