RIP Trappeys.
Think they used to make that down Louisiana. Was the best on beans at the dinner table growing up.

Crystal is my everyday go to hot sauce. I like Siracha and Cholula for certain dishes. Valentina is awesome on tacos.

For Mexican, it use to be Tapatio, but I tried Tabasco Chipotle, and now it’s my go-to.
For everything else, I prefer Crystal. It may not be the spiciest, but it enhances the flavor, especially of red beans, gumbo, gravys, seafood po-boys, etc.

This may sound ghetto, but I learned to put Louisiana on a filet of fried catfish from this old black lady i used to work with. She used to drown hers in it and i ordered some from the place she did one day. The only way I will eat catfish now is dripping with Louisiana.
If hot sauce on fried catfish is ghetto then call me Ashy Larry.

Tabasco is still my favorite to add to things like red beans & rice, chili, gumbo, etc.
Tabasco in RB&R, white beans, gumbo, and for cooking. Crystal for all else.

List is not legit.
But I do agree Louisiana > Crystal > Tobasco
We go through a lot of Louisiana and Jalapeño Tobasco at my house.
One of the kids likes sirachi.

Tried a bottle of Zatarain's hot sauce. I give it high marks.
