You're not far off but a solution will happen imo. That particular franchise is who I linked and we work with them a lot
I hope so. Hooters was the spot back in the day. Not sure if you’re still involved with the same location, but that one has always been well run.

His group runs the Metairie location and they seem to still be doing well.

The only 2 i go to with any regularity are the ones in Metairie and Gulfport and they are usually full of people when i go.
Doubt any around here are closing.

Major loss for those 40 locations. When both Twin Peaks in NOLA closed, it was devastating

May have been a one off but i got some wings from the Metairie location about two months ago and they were the worst wings i’ve maybe ever had.

Thank God you don’t own a restaurant.

Haven’t seen a waitress like those in OP in over twenty years. On the rare occasions I go to Hooters, it’s always some bubble butt hoodrat with neck tats.

Corporate owned store is why

Hooters needs a makeover. The concept is outdated and the menu is weak.

Don't worry your lord and savior Trump will soon be back in office and everything will be great again!!

If only the actual waitresses resembled those pics.

It’s still amazes me that people show up in threads like this showing their stupidity.

I’ve never been a fan of inflated Hooters.

Yep and they have a lot more competition in the wing game. There were a lot of people that went to Hooters just for the wings and not the hooters.
Other breastaurants like Twin Peaks have taken part of the market share.
They still felt the financial sting of the hotel and Hooters Air debacles.
No stability in their C-suite and a recent stint with private equity owners.
Younger generations aren't as interested in mediocre talent and ham-fisted compliments
The pandemic was tougher on restaurants with a show because Door Dash didn't deliver the hos and hoolihoops. They are doubling down on the idea people really come for the food and pushing online sales and opened 200 "virtual locations".
They are a bit of a niche that are dying because they failed to evolve as competition came into the market. Economic conditions have certainly hastened this.

As a long time customer at the Destin Hooters - basically since it originally opened by the Destin bridge - the quality of help has generally declined over those ~30yrs, esp the last 10 or so. Both in terms of looks and attention to detail. Food quality is mixed but improved this last football season.
The group that owns the Destin Hooters owns/owned others including Crestvew (closed due to rising rent), Pensacola (closed - neighboring Twin Peaks also closed), Pensacola Beach - still going, and I think 1 or 2 others in South AL.
Rarely go anymore as it's not worth the effort (25 mile drive). Still go meet other CFB fans for the CFB playoffs and the SuperBowl and that's about it.

Anything to do with the Brooks era is extremely in the past. The hotel sold to OYO and got that off the books. It certainly was a mistake but it wasn't something dragging the corporate side down.

Correct. The first group did a lot of internal modernization that needed to happen. After that it has been a mess

What evolution would you have suggested?

The interesting part is the franchises are succeeding and the corporate stores are not

Private Equity get involved here too?

This sucks. I don't eat hooters often but it is an American success story.
