It comes in a hand crank for,the Amish. They aren’t stupid they are savvy business people and won’t put their beliefs in front of making a dollar.

I’ve made a couple batches this year since my gf got the kitchen aid ice cream attachment. First was a baseball nut baskin robins dupe, then I made her a vanilla custard earl grey bc she likes to buy tea flavored ice cream and then not eat it, a banana caramel that turned out well, and another vanilla custard with apricot preserves ribboned in. My coworker gifted my some saffron and he’s bringing me peaches from his tree so I was going to see if peach and saffron worked well together for my next one and then bring it to work to share.

Yes. Routinely. They started using shite ingredients so I make my own. It’s pretty good I’m told.

15 years ago our church had a home made ice cream contest . Best part was listening to all the stories of family and home made ice cream.

Pop rouge ice cream was a staple for us growing up. I remember my arm being worn TF out from cranking the machine waiting for it to freeze
I can easily remember hand cranking on the back porch, but it sure was a lot of work for so little ice cream when there were about 10 people to get some when done.
We always ate what was made in one serving and it was a nice treat since nobody in my family had A/C back then, just big arse whole house fans moving warm air.

I still do. It is my dad's favorite dessert and I will keep making it for him

Just enjoyed a bowl of New Orleans Ice Cream's Ponchatoula Strawberry. Was pretty good and I did not need to crank or clean an ice cream maker.

Blue Bell is the most overrated ice cream in human history.

Tillamook is certainly better.
Vanilla is the same. But I do like some of their flavors more than BB.

Hell, Breyer's is too
GTFO. That’s just rage baiting.

Enough to fill the freezer to the fill line after you put the mix in. About 3/4 of a gallon

I bought my youngest daughter a Ninja Creamie for her 14th birthday and she constantly makes homemade ice cream with it

I remember hand cranking, too. All the cousins took a turn.
