fter investigators used ONSTAR to track Denis Duplantier's missing truck, they found the couple's bodies in the backseat of a pickup truck that was parked at a Petro gas station in Hammond, LA. Surveillance video shows the pickup being parked and a suspect police believe to be Alonzo, get out and into another vehicle that had an accomplice inside.
Do these assholes commit these crimes in hopes they can be caught soon after? Unless the accomplice was also supposed to short out the cameras, that's a stupid decision to leave a truck with bodies at a gas station.
And how do you forgive someone for this kind of behavior? Screw that guy. How the hell can anyone kill, let alone kill two wonderful elderly people?

The entire crime was stupid. They had to know they would be prime suspects. If they wanted $ why not just rob them and leave them tied up? They had no reason to kill them.

Yep. The good news is that criminals are stupid.
The bad news is that criminals are stupid.

Based on his looks and name I'm guessing he's italian. An immigrant as well. Most likely an illegal immigrant. This is why we need Trump.
They most likely tracked his phone. If youre ever going to commit a crime ditch your phone!
They didn't want to leave any witnesses behind. Pretty simple.

If they were smart, these two people would still be alive and there would be no crime committed in this case at all.

The point of that statement was not an accurate accusation or measuring of his BAC at 3 am.
Eta Because ryno is an a-hole.

Premeditation is not the trigger. This is a double murder, so I believe that IS a capital offense.
Yep. Also murder when committing another felony (robbery/burglary) also makes it a capital crime.

Thanks for the article. The facts of this case just keep getting worse. Thinking of what their children are going through right now makes my eyes run. I can't imagine their pain. it's painful think of their pain. These folks weren't old. They likely had years left with their children and grandchildren.
I'm glad this idiot was at least so stupid that he set himself up for getting caught.

Was it proven the perps worked for the victims or knew them somehow?
Posted on 10/21/15 at 4:45 pm to Gris Gris
I would imagine one had to watch the other one be strangled, before they themselves were strangled. Can you imagine the terror of having to watch that, the person you knew and loved most of your life? Knowing it's being done by someone you and your spouse knew, and tried to help out?
That's horrific.
That's horrific.

The article above indicates he did some work for them and he lived on the property.

May he burn in hell and everyone who helped him. Senseless.

From what I've read about the two people, they were extremely friendly and would have probably given him money if he would have asked.
Man, I couldn't strangle a hamster and watch it die. How can someone strangle a human being until they quit breathing?

I was thinking exactly that. The article says there was blood in multiple rooms. I was sort of hoping he tied them up and put them in different rooms, though they could probably hear what was going on. There had to be an accomplice with him for that because my understanding is that Bubby was a big guy and would be somewhat hot tempered in this sort of situation-wouldn't go down easily. They may have threatened to hurt his wife, though, which might have subdued him enough to give in. Who knows. Any way you look at it, one knew what the other was going through and they both knew before the strangulations occurred since they were both beat up. Geez.... Those poor children. I would be thinking that I want a redo back to Sunday morning.
