So in that spirit, I'd like to ask you to read a book called White Fragility. White Fragility is not a term that should bother anyone if they are truly convinced there is not structural racism actively present in the USA.

I wonder how well the sequel “Black Criminality” is going to go over.

Nah not really. For some reason by "full" you didn't mean "whole" even though they are related terms. If you meant something different, then be more clear.

This woman is a covert white supremacist according to the graph I posted on this board yesterday. She has made herself a self-appointed white ally.

I only see two options on that pyramid. Must’ve been made by a black person.

CSB time. During Barry O’s first election run I worked with a few black coworkers closely. Always got along with these guys when talking about anything but politics. But with the impending election the conversations turned to politics often. I was soon informed that if I didn’t vote for BHO that I was a racist. That didn’t sit well with me so we had to part ways.

Additionally we had a white guy working with us who was very liberal and (even then) constantly apologizing for his whiteness. When he wasn’t around these guys talked about him like he was a dog.

There was no winning with these guys. And I wasn’t going to try to pacify them.

Regardless, you are a doctor and it took you seven years of training, at a minimum, to make complex decisions that often include matters of life or death. Asking for someone with more training to similarly deal with life or death issues is not an unreasonable request.

I’ve never had a gun pointed at me while doing my job, and I’ve never feared for my own life walking up to a patient. You’re right, they are very different things, but I have a hard time passing judgment against guys who put their life on the line for peanuts. If their pay was higher, their training more comprehensive (maybe?), and the population less violent/reactionary, I bet we would have less of these issues.

I'm not saying they are bad people, but rather that many of them, in my experience, are ill-equipped to handle sensitive situations, especially with regard to mental health. I have a lot of personal experience with this, both professionally when I worked at a hospital before medical school, and personally with regard to a family situation, and I've never had a positive interaction. The EMTs I know, even though they deal a lot of shite too, were way more empathetic and with regard to the one situation in particular, helped it from escalating further. Even in my volunteer experience with homeless people in various cities I've lived in, I had negative interactions with police.

I would love for police departments to get the training needed to recognize when escalation is needed, and when the situation calls for something more nuanced. The departments instead seemingly get more militarized, even though the total crime index in this US is the lowest it has been since 1963. The total level of crime certainly doesn't justify their continued militarization, in my view.

I just think white guilt is because these people know deep down inside they are racist.

I dont have white guilt. I know that committing crimes is a good way to have interactions with a police officer. I know White Men are gunned down by police more than any other group.

I know every profession has pieces of shite humans.

My wife has one of these white guilt memes up on her FB page.
I have since muted my wife on Facebook and plan on keeping it that way.

Can't wait for the discussion about me voting for OMB this November to come up.

I wish someone would come up with a meme of Krappernick kneeling on Floyd.

That's what this is all about.

Suburban women are the only battleground in this election.

Unfortunately, this is not a rational group.
