I remember back in the day (less than 10 years ago) going to Ruth Chris and spending a little over $100 for two meals was seen as an expensive meal. Now you go to Ruth Chris, you get a quality steak for a decent price.
I went to Ruffinos a few weekends ago, it was probably my 5th or 6th time in the past 3 years and I their prices haven't gone up like other places with less quality food.

Younger me got in a physical disagreement with a fellow on a Wednesday night before Thanksgiving at Texas Club. I was kicked out of the club and told that I was banned from there. I didn’t try to go back for several years.
About 5 years later, we decided to the Wednesday night strategy for a friends birthday. I wasn’t even at the door yet and the bouncer looked at me and said ‘Supadave3, I don’t think so. Turn around now or get arrested for trespassing.” We turned around and went to The Station.
I still can’t believe that guy remembered me and my full name 5 years later. That’s impressive.

When we go out no mixed drink is under $12 anymore
It's crazy around me. . . $12 is usually the lowest you see anywhere for a well drink made with liquor that's so cheap you can hardly tell if it's cheap whiskey or Tequila.
It's similar with food, the "cheap" options have crept up much faster than the better ones.
You can usually get a very good cocktail with good liquor that obviously takes effort to mix for just a few dollars more.

Isn't it also funny that the people who cause higher prices never pay for anything themselves, but instead use taxpayer money for their own food and drink?

Five of us went to the smalltown Thai sushi place. No one drank any alcohol and the bill was still 190 dollars somewhow lol.
