I'm saying this makes the time period the virus would exert catastrophic consequences end faster or not occur at all.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb was the lead author of a big paper that came out on Sunday about that. Gottlieb, you may know, was FDA Director from 2017 to last year, and he's in tight with Fauci, Birx, and the rest of the medical people in the Trump Administration, so this paper will carry a lot of weight.
He said that we can reopen restaurants when we have:
* 14 days of declining new cases
* The ability to test anyone with a fever or other possible symptoms and get results in less than 30 minutes
* Can quickly effectively trace and test those associated with any new positive case.
* Established that people need to wear masks around town
* Are running regular serological tests to screen the population to understand the spread of the virus and see new infection hotspots before they get bad

Just the first shot across the bow. All hell is about to break loose. Government didnt think This through very well. Lots of small business will soon follow suite.

I will argue with you. And it isn't me that is fricking bonkers. The goal isn't to stop the spread. It is to slow it to a manageable level. Grocery store spread is going to happen and we can't do much to stop it without causing real panic. However, letting this shite spread more b/c someone needs to buy a cheap picture frame is fricking bonkers.

If the govt wanted cooperation they should have paid businesses off earlier. People are getting pissed.
I work for the DoL and people are pissed and the anger is growing daily, while trust in govt is waning.

When people are losing their livelihood?
You're more likely to catch this virus in a big box "essential business" than in a small shop.
The weed shops (which have been deemed essential) are limiting to one person at a time without government coersion.
