I know we have some HOA badasses here.

How do you handle a horse roaming through the neighborhood, loose from a nearby farm?

This doesn't seem like something you can just "play off as cool".

Something needs to be done.

Is this a recurring issue or just a one off'er? Animals get loose at times. . .

If it's recurring, probably get on nextdoor and write something you wouldn't say in person.

What authority would the HOA have on a nearby farm? Call the sheriff

Send the farm a violation letter for the first offense demanding immediate action.

In 72 hours if you see the horse again, send another violation letter.

Come Monday if you still see the fricker, file a lawsuit and claim the farm.

Most HOAs are against horseplay in the streets.

Park a boat out front and leave the trash cans at the curb.

Had a cow loose one time in an old neighborhood. All were chasing it in their golf carts and corralled it in the neighbors backyard where it propmly fell into the pool. Capital Crane came, rutted the neighbors yard and lifted it out. Farmer paid for the crane and the sod. I’m guessing the chlorine too.

If it’s the first time this has happened, the owner is probably looking for it (if it’s know to be missing). Horses are expensive.

If it happens all the time, how good are you with a lasso?
