Comments section in article says white male was the one shot. Can’t attest to accuracy

Was there to shop right after the ambulance was pulling out. Half the parking lot was crime taped off, with mabe 15 civilian cars inside the taped off area. Their owners were not being allowed to get their cars from the taped off area & a couple of older folks were really pissed. Asked one employee what happened & all she knew was there was an attempted robbery in the parking lot & someone was shot.

And to think being strapped in BR isn’t a good idea.

Yeah, I had to Uber home with my groceries. Then I had to Uber back to get my vehicle.

I frequented that area when I was at LSU from 08-12. Don’t ever remember feeling unsafe/sketchy vibes. Sad to hear how bad it’s gotten.

I go back and forth on whether carrying a gun would be good for me. I'm pretty impulsive so not sure if I trust myself lol.

I don’t doubt you at all. I’m just saying that I’ve never seen anything sketchy going on. I usually go either after work which is around 4ish or during lunch if I’m out of something. Guess I’ll now have to pay really close attention when walking across the parking lot.

I always parked on the side adjacent to that Asian noodle place. However, the bums would come out of no where

I had a well dressed black man stop me as I was getting out of my car at like 9pm and walk all the way up the store with me building up his story to ask me for money.

Dude actually asked me if I have heard of U Club and said he lives there and he’s not a trashy bum but actually legit needs gas money. Lol. Couldn’t point me to a car though.

I sometimes park on that side too and, during the week, only notice the UPS trucks outside the UPS store. Normally, I park away from everyone in the spaces close to Highland on the end by Waka House and Subway. I’m really going have to be more aware of my surroundings when I go there.

I see people commenting on Facebook that it was possibly a college kid that was shot? Anyone got any scoop?
